Inclement weather policy: Before heading to our studio, always check the above schedule, the Hot Yoga of Huntsville online schedule, or the Hot Yoga of Huntsville Facebook page to find out whether our studio is closed or any classes have been canceled due to inclement weather. We evaluate keeping the studio open on a class by class basis and we may wait up to an hour before a class begins before deciding to cancel it. Please don’t call the studio because no one may be available to take your call and please don’t text our instructors because they may not have the most up to date information.
Yoga 101 (60 min): (2x per week!) All levels
Yes, we offer 101 two times per week–every week–Thursday 7:30pm and Saturday 10:30am! Everyone is welcome from beginners to seasoned yogis! This class covers the basics of yoga to help students build a solid foundation for their yoga practice. We pay close attention to the details of breathing and alignment in each of the basic yoga postures. Instructors will work one-on-one with some students and may use hands-on adjustments to help you find the alignment or balance you have been working on. Come to have fun and improve your knowledge, confidence, strength, balance and flexibility. We encourage you to enjoy this class as many times as you like!
Hot Vinyasa (60 min – hot): Level: II
Hot Vinyasa Yoga is a challenging, fun yoga practice which utilizes a dynamic combination of strength, flexibility, stabilization, stamina, cardio, and concentration. The flow sequence is designed to soothe and invigorate the nervous system, balance hormones, build cardiovascular strength and stamina, and improve the digestive and elimination systems. This flowing practice heals and detoxifies the body, and brings harmony to the mind, body and spirit.
Power Yoga (60 min – hot): Level II – III
Hot Power Yoga is an amazing and challenging form of fitness that sculpts and tones the muscles and builds strong healthy bodies. This flowing practice heals and detoxifies the body, and brings harmony to the mind, body and spirit. Burn fat, tighten and tone! Concentrating on the glutes, legs, abs, arms and shoulders, this workout takes no prisoners. You’ll crawl out begging for more. Of course, everyone is welcome, but it does help to be familiar with basic yoga poses.
H26 (60 or 90 min – hot): All levels
Good for those that have wrist and shoulder issues! Based on the 26 poses of the Bikram series, the H26 is a fun, dynamic, and challenging workout designed to systematically work every muscle, ligament, tendon, organ, gland, cell, and joint in the body as you build strength, flexibility and balance while increasing your cardiovascular and circulatory systems and toning muscles. This 60-90 minute class based on traditional consists of a set series of postures and breathing exercises. In addition to building strength through elongation and extension of muscles, it detoxifies and tones the internal organs through compressions focused on the body’s key organs for elimination of waste and toxins. This yoga cleanses from the inside out and is accessible to all. It is a tremendously powerful and healing yoga and is especially beneficial to those with illnesses and ailments.
Power-Flow (60 min – hot): Level II
One of our most popular classes! If you like the best of all yoga disciplines then your prayers have been answered! For all levels and all ages! So, come build stamina, flexibility, strength, balance and focus in this dynamic class! This is a great class for newbies to explore after 101!
Hot Barre (60 min – hot): All levels
Get your heart pumping in this fantastic and fun total body workout set to the latest music. Burn calories while toning, sculpting and strengthening thighs, buttocks, calves, abs/core. Don’t worry, we don’t forget your upper body by using isometric movements to tone the entire body! All levels are welcome!
Pilates (60 min – warm/hot): All levels
Anyone can do Pilates and they should! It’s a core strengthening fitness system developed in the early 20th Century by Joseph Pilates to primarily assist professional dancers and athletes by expanding their strength, flexibility and mind-body control. The Pilates Method has proven long-term benefits supporting a healthy balanced lifestyle with physical and mental awareness and strength.
Yin (60 min – warm): All levels
“Some don’t like it hot!” Come take it down a notch in a cooler room. Yin is a deep, yet gentle class and is accessible to even the tightest of muscles. Postures are done primarily on the floor, and held for longer periods of time to enable gravity, rather than effort to open the body. This class is the athlete’s choice to help heal injuries and ailments of all kinds and the perfect compliment and balance to Yang (powerful/active) yoga styles
Hot Hatha (60 min – hot): Level II – III
Hot Hatha: ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” Hatha refers to the balance of the sun (active, hot) and the moon (receptive, cool) within all of us. Slow and controlled postures combined with proper alignment, breathing technique and bio-mechanical principles provides an invigorating workout for students of all abilities. Combine strength and flexibility as you learn to balance effort while surrendering in each pose. Being familiar with basic yoga poses and alignment is suggested.
